However, there are hundreds of rental homes managed by property management companies that are not listed on the MLS. Leasing may be a better option for many people that first move into the area until they get to know the schools, shopping areas and the community freeway system.
There are many reasons why renting or leasing may be a better option than buying. For instance, if the renter has just moved to the area, he or she may want to test drive the neighborhood before committing to a home. Or if the renter will only be in the area for a short amount of time, renting is an easier and a more financially sound option than buying. Many home buyers are learning the wisdom of getting to know their potential neighbors before making a more long term commitment to living in a neighborhood. This may especially apply when considering a confined community like a condo complex.
Then there are the financial reasons for choosing to rent a home rather than purchase a new property. Buying a home is a large financial decision, and if the renter or buyer doesn’t have strong credit or enough funds to cover all of the costs, leasing could be a better short term solution. Rental properties are popular for all of these reasons and more. The market and fantastic weather in the southwest make this a desirable area for many homeowners to relocate to, not to mention you will be able to choose from a variety of homes for lease in the city of Gilbert.
